Who We Are
Taste of Morocco Adventures began with one guide, a love of Moroccan food, and a simple idea: to share the Morocco we know and love. What started as a small food tour has grown into a local team of guides, drivers, and trip planners. Today, we take travelers beyond the usual tourist trail, from hidden food spots and lively Medina streets to the Atlas Mountains and Sahara. We don't just show you Morocco. We share the Morocco we live, eat, and love. Learn more about us

Morocco captivates with its incredible contrasts—from the snow-capped Atlas Mountains to the golden dunes of the Sahara, from bustling medinas filled with aromatic spices to serene desert oases. This North African kingdom offers an intoxicating blend of Berber, Arab, and French influences that create a truly unique cultural tapestry. The country's rich culinary heritage tells stories of ancient trade routes, while warm Berber hospitality welcomes travelers like family. Every corner of Morocco holds surprises: vibrant souks overflowing with handcrafted treasures, traditional riads with stunning mosaic courtyards, and landscapes that shift from coastal plains to dramatic desert vistas. What do people say about Taste of Morocco Adventures?
If you're looking for an authentic food experience in Marrakech, this tour is a must. Our guide, Smail, was outstanding and transformed what could have been a simple food tour into a fascinating introduction to Moroccan culture, history, and daily life. Over the course of the tour, we sampled a wide variety of local specialties that are rarely found in guidebooks or tourist-oriented restaurants: Msemen, Traditional Moroccan mint tea, Bissara, Kefta Mkaouara, Mixed brochettes – including kefta, beef liver, and turkey, Spiced Moroccan chicken, Freshly prepared lentils with local seasonings, Fruit panaché smoothie, served as dessert, A selection of Moroccan pastries and sweets, including Feqqas, Chebakia, Briouat, and Bastilla. What made this experience truly unique is that all of these dishes were served at small, family-run, no-name food stalls hidden throughout the Medina. These are places we would never have discovered on our own. Many of the vendors speak little or no French.

Author: Benjamin | Date: 7/19/2026 | Source: airbnb | Rating: 5 stars
Ismael was our host for the day. Luckily, it was just me and my husband in the group, so the experience didn’t feel rushed. We had plenty or time to enjoy the Food, chat with Ismael, and learn moré about the local culture. We tried many different dishes, and every single One was delicious. Our fav was the dish with eggs and minced meat-it was incredibly flavourful plus they serve it with spicy harissa. Ismael was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We highly recommend this food experience tour!

Ismail was a very knowledgeable and engaging host. He took us to some great spots to try Moroccan food deep in the medina. These were real local spots - most of them didn't have names so would've been very hard to find otherwise. A brilliant introduction to local food. Highly recommend.

Lhoussaine was a knowledgeable and engaging guide. The tour brought to areas close to the main square, but also to a few more local spots at the edge of the Medina. For me, the shakshuka-style dish, meat skewers, msemen pancakes, snails, sheep head, and the herbal drink were highlights.

This tour is a great way to try a wide range of Moroccan food in a short amount of time without having to figure it out on your own. The guide was friendly, engaging, and kept things moving at a comfortable pace while still letting the group enjoy each stop. There was a good mix of foods from traditional breakfast items and Harira soup to sfenj (Moroccan donuts), barbecue, and fresh smoothies. I also appreciated that the tour felt flexible. You’re not rushed, but you’re also not stuck if you’re full and ready to move on. It wrapped up at a good time, which made it easy to still enjoy the evening after. Overall, it’s a solid way to experience the local food scene with some guidance and context instead of just guessing your way through it.

Hassan was a very fun and engaging host! He really made sure the group connected and that we made fun together! Although the tour got off to a late start, Hassan made up for it with his energy and character. All the food we ate was delicious and off the beaten track. I would not have eaten at some of these stalls on my own so that made the tour feel adventurous and like you were eating like a local! The tour lasted much longer than expected but this is Morocco! I recommend this tour but just approach it with a flexible mind set!

Take this food tour! Don’t even question it. My friend and I decided to do this experience last minute and it was one of the top 2 highlights of our trip. We were taken to about 8/9 places. You experience everything from Moroccan breakfast to dinner and dessert. The guides did a great job interacting with all of us (we were a bigger group) and making sure everyone stayed together. Come open minded, hungry and ready to learn.

We liked the tour and the food. Ismail, our guide, was helpful and nice personality. He explained about every dish, as well as shared some good tips and information about Morocco traditions. The amount of food is more than enough. You will be full at the end of it. We were offered more food, in addition to what we've got, at every place So, come hungry. Before the tour had some doubts a bit as it is Ramadan month now. In reality it went very well, no problems because of the Ramadan month. We recommend this tour.

If you’re booking a food tour in Marrakesh, Ismail is an incredible guide. Before the tour even began, I was a little anxious. My riad was tucked deep into the medina, and I was genuinely worried about getting lost trying to find the meeting point. The alleyways in Marrakesh are beautiful but can feel like a maze. Ismail was so reassuring from the start, quick to respond, clear with directions, and very patient. He immediately made me feel at ease. The food was excellent and thoughtfully curated. We started with a comforting traditional soup and worked our way through a variety of different dishes and flavors. It was not just one long meal in a single place. It felt like a journey through Moroccan cuisine. From savory street bites to more substantial dishes, and finally ending with sweet delights and tea, everything felt intentional. The pacing was perfect. It was not rushed and it was not dragging. There was just enough time to enjoy, talk, and digest between stops. One thing that really stood out was how knowledgeable he is. The conversations were just as memorable as the food. I learned so much about Morocco’s history, cultural influences, and how deeply food is tied to hospitality and daily life. I was grouped with a French family, three of them, which made for a nice dynamic, and Ismail navigated the group effortlessly. He speaks English extremely well, which made everything easy to understand and allowed for deeper conversations. Nothing felt lost in translation, and I never felt confused or left out of the discussion. At the end of the evening, he walked me all the way back to my riad because I had mentioned I was nervous about getting lost and about walking alone at night. He did not make a big deal of it. He just made sure I got back safely. That small gesture meant a lot. If you are looking for a food experience in Marrakesh that feels immersive, educational, and genuinely welcoming, this was exactly that.

Marrakes is an out of this world experience! Our private guide took care of everything and I can only say that without Hussein and Mohammed it would’ve been impossible to know what to visit or to understand the local culture. Medina is such vibrant place with so many wonderful hidden treasures. The people in Marrakesh are very welcoming, the food is excellent, the stories of the places we visited will stay with us forever. The desert camp with an exterior pool facing the Atlas Mountains was more than beautiful, such a nice surprise ! We will definitely come back because there is more we want to see and learn and now we also have friends in Marocco ! Thank you Hussein for everything you have offered us in such short time !

Great way to experience local food and culture. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and we tried a variety of authentic dishes I wouldn’t have found on my own. One suggestion for improvement: when sharing lamb brain, many people touched the food with their fingers because they weren’t familiar with which part to eat. It would be helpful to guide the group more clearly and provide spoons for everyone in such cases. Overall, the tour was well organized and recommended.

If you are interested in food in Marrakech, this tour is a must! We were taken to places we would not have found, or felt confident to try, without a guide. The food was unusual and delicious. The tour guide was extremely friendly and helpful - one couple were late arriving and we picked them up after the first stop & he promised to take them to the first place at the end of the tour if they wanted to go. He explained what the dishes were and what things to eat together (sweet & savoury combinations). There is a lot of food, so make sure you are hungry! At each place he always asked if we wanted him to get more for us, or if we wanted to try other things. It was very generous and accommodated vegetarians too. Our group was ~10 people and the guide made sure everyone was enjoying it - we all loved it!
